I watched the moon settle low over the Gulf, steady and luminous against a deep blue sky. What stayed with me wasn’t only the moon — it was the path of light reaching across the water.
From that white glow, a shimmering trail formed in layers of white and pale aqua, gradually deepening into richer blues on either side. There were no sharp divisions, no sudden changes — just one shade easing quietly into the next. The entire scene lived in blue, with the moon’s reflection guiding the eye forward.
Standing there, I felt drawn along that luminous path, as though it were leading somewhere just beyond reach.
I carried that memory home and gently translated its quiet harmony onto canvas.
